It seemed easy (difficult, strange) — Это казалось легким (трудным, странным).
Если прилагательное неградуальное, то после глагола to seem употребляется инфинитивная конструкция to be + A:
He seemed to be alone (to be asleep, to be lost) — Казалось, он был один (он спал, заблудился).
(2). Глагол to seem может употребляться с инфинитивной конструкцией to be + существительное. Если при этом существительном нет определений, то оно употребляется с определенным артиклем:
What seems to be the trouble is… — Беда, видимо, в том, что…
He seems to be the owner of the house — Дом, видимо, принадлежит ему/Он, видимо, хозяин дома.
Если существительное имеет определение, то употребляется неопределенный артикль:
He seems to be a nice person — Он, кажется, хороший человек.
This seemed to be a gift for our children — Это был как будто подарок нашим детям.
(3). Глагол to seem не употребляется в пассивной форме.
