Что значит коннект в интернет-сленге?

Глобальное распространение информационных технологий повлияло на все строны жизни общества, в том числе и речевые предпочтения. Теперь, чтобы понять смысл того или иного слова, употребляемого в сети, приходится обращаться не к толковому словарю Даля, а к поисковику. Наиболее распространенные слова уже заняли свое место в интернет-сленговом словаре и не нуждаются в расшифровке. Коннект – это достаточно часто используемое в интернет-сленге слово, поэтому смысл его интуитивно понятен. Однако уточнение не помешает.

Происхождение слова

«Коннект» — транслитерация английского глагола «connect», в зависимости от контекста, переводимого как «соединять», «подключаться», «присоединяться», «связывать», «общаться» или «объединять».

В ходе заимствования это слово стало существительным, а глагол и прилагательное созданы с помощью характерных для русского языка аффиксов. Получилось «коннектиться» и «законнекченный».

Основное значение, вкладываемое в слово «коннект» системными администраторами – установка связи между компьютерами.

Если, скажем, несколько компов соединены в локальную сеть или хотя бы один девайс подключен к интернету, айтишники скажут о них «законнекчены», «есть коннект».

Другое общеупотребляемое значение коннекта – «общение», «встреча», «налаживание контакта» и т.д.

В этом смысле, «коннектиться» — встречаться, общаться на виртуальной площадке или лично, с глазу на глаз или большой компанией. Варианты «приконнектиться», «сконнектиться» — присоединиться ко встрече, договориться о ней же.
